Poland is planning to purchase aerostats for Air Surveillance. An appropriate request will be sent to the US government shortly - as Mariusz Błaszczak, Polish Minister of Defence, announced during the opening of Defence24 DAY conference.

Poland was considering the purchase of aerostats at least since 2017, within Barbara procurement project. However, it appears that - just like many other projects - the procurement has accelerated in the face of full-scale aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine. Aerostats could be useful, for instance, for tracking cruise missiles which operate below the horizon of ground-based land radars except at short ranges.
