Defence24 Group, the publisher of Defence24.pl portal, is organizing a third edition of Defence24 DAY & SOFEAST conference, focused on the major issues in the areas of defence, security and defence industry. This year, Defence24 DAY will take place in a two-day formula, combined with SOFEAST, a scientific conference dedicated to the Special Operations Forces as well as combat medicine.

Defence24 Day is the leading defence and security sector conference, focused on the major issues of the sectors both in Poland and around the world. The event is a place where decisionmakers, senior administration & Armed Forces officials, defence industry representatives and experts may debate and share their experience. It is planned that Mariusz Błaszczak, the Polish Minister of National Defence, Paweł Soloch, the Head of National Security Bureau as well as numerous senior Polish Armed Forces commanders will take place in the conference.

Defence24 DAY constitutes an opportunity to exchange views an opinions for key decisionmakers, representatives of the Armed Forces and the defence industry as well as Polish and international experts. During the event, the creation of a comprehensive National Security System, the Polish Armed Forces transformation as a response to the changing threat environment and the international cooperation in countering the regional threats will be debated. The discussion will also be focused on priority areas of the Polish Armed Forces technical modernization, the role of the defence industry in expanding the capabilities of the Polish Military as well as the space-based capabilities.

Among the participants of the 2020 edition of Defence24 DAY there were numerous senior Polish Armed Forces commanders, including: General Jarosław Mika, General Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, Lieutenant General, Tomasz Piotrowski, Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, Major General Dariusz Ryczkowski, Head of the Armed Forces’ Support Inspectorate, Major General Wiesław Kukuła, Commander of the Territorial Defence Component, Major General Jarosław Gromadziński, Commander of the 18th Mechanized Division, Major General Stanisław Czosnek, Deputy Commander of the Polish Armed Forces, Brig. General Karol Molenda, Director at the National Cyberspace Security Center, Polish Ministry of Defence Plenipotentiary for Establishing the Cyberspace Defence Forces, Brig. General Artur Dębczak, Plenipotentiary for implementation of a Polish Armed Forces’ recruitment system, representatives of the state administration, industry, academia and R&D entities as well as experts.

This year, Defence24 DAY will take place in a two-day formula, combined with SOFEAST, an international scientific conference devoted to the Special Operations Forces as well as Emergency Combat Medicine. During the event, the development of the Special Operations Forces, the influence of the new and emerging technologies on the operational environment as well as the cooperation between SOF and the security services, and the use of Special Operations Forces in the broad defence policy will be discusses. A demonstration of emergency rescue operations is also planned. The Honorary Patronage over SOFEAST was taken by Major (Ret.) Aleksander Tarnawski – the last living Cichociemny Paratrooper of the Polish Home Army.

This year edition of Defence24 DAY & SOFEAST conference will take place on 29 and 30 September 2021 in EXPO XXI, Prądzyńskiego Street No. 12/14, Warsaw.
