On September 2nd, during the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, president of the MDBA company, Antoine Bouvier has signed two letters of intent: with Waldemar Skowron – who is the president of MESKO company, and Ryszard Kardasz – president of PIT-RADWAR company. These letters are related to the Wisła medium range air- and anti-missile-defence system.

Memorandum of understanding between MBDA and MESKO expands the scope of cooperation with the Polish partner, especially within the area of equipping Aster 30 B1 rockets with proper components. It also provides the Polish company's involvement in development of the new generation missile – Aster B1NT. Scope of cooperation includes manufacture of all the main components of the rocket and the final assembly. The key technologies used, including the warhead, accelerating burner and servomotors, are to be developed by the Polish partner. MESKO is also going to deal with rocket maintenance and training activities.

The other memorandum of understanding, involving the PIT-RADWAR company, is related to a wide transfer of knowledge and technology regarding the data receivers for Aster 30 Block1 and Aster 30 Block1 NT missiles. These missiles will be the basic building block of the SAMP/T system, which is one of the candidates to become the future Wisła air-defence system. It has been designed by Eurosam consortium, consisting of MDBA and Thales companies.
