Antoni Macierewicz, Polish Minister of Defence began his visit to Israel yesterday.
According to the spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Defence, Minister Macierewicz arrived in Tel Aviv on 6th April 2016. After the visit officially began, Macierewicz met his Israeli counterpart, Moshe Ya’Alon.
Then, once the meeting between the Defence Ministers came to an end, the Polish Defence Minister will visit Palmachim and Sde Dov Air Force Bases.
The unofficial information suggests that the talks are going to cover, among other issues, the potential acquisition of UAV systems for the Polish Army, in the light of the ongoing implementation of the Technological Modernization Plan, and the offers submitted by the Israeli companies.
It is also expected that the delegates from Poland will visit the Yad Vashem World Holocaust Remembrance Centre where Minister Macierewicz will also lay flowers at the Holocaust memorial.
