Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that Poland will receive another loan from the USA to support the transformation of the Polish Armed Forces. What amount is involved?

“We have another loan agreement with the USA, which will help finance the rapid transformation of the Polish Armed Forces under the FMF program. This time, it’s $4 billion, and in total, the USA has provided over $11 billion to Poland for financing defense programs, including the Patriot air defense systems and Apache helicopters. This is yet another proof of the immense trust and strong alliance between Poland and the USA”, wrote the Deputy Prime Minister on X.

The US Department of State clarified in a statement that this time, the loan is not a direct government loan, but rather guarantees provided under the FMF, allowing financing from other entities on much more favorable terms.
