Polish–French cooperation and eastern flank challenges
In this Defence24 interview, Romain Le Quiniou, Managing Director at Euro Créative, discusses the evolving Polish–French partnership and its significance for Europe’s security. He stresses that cooperation between Warsaw and Paris is becoming a pillar of stability at a time of growing threats on NATO’s eastern flank.
Le Quiniou points out that France has moved away from its past illusions about close ties with Russia. Instead, Paris now views Poland as a crucial ally in shaping Europe’s response to Moscow’s aggression. This shift, he notes, strengthens both bilateral relations and the broader transatlantic effort.
Looking ahead, he underlines that the main challenges lie in sustaining unity among allies and ensuring consistent support for Ukraine. According to Le Quiniou, Poland and France together can play a leading role in reinforcing Europe’s defence posture and preparing for long-term security pressures from the East.
