Bogdan Traczyk, President of the Upper Silesian Accelerator for Commercial Enterprises, and Piotr Wojciechowski – President of the Management Board at the WB Group have concluded an agreement finalizing the acquisition of the Silesian Aerospace Industry Scientific and Technological Center by the WB Group. I am really happy that the enterprise I founded 10 years ago would now become a part of a reputable Polish industrial group. This is a success for the Upper Silesian Accelerator for Commercial Enterprises, focused on promoting innovative solutions, developing the economy in the region, and stimulating the development of entrepreneurship, stated Bogdan Traczyk, President at the Upper Silesian Accelerator of Market Entrepreneurship (GAPR).
The WB Group has been joined by a new company today. It would become a center of excellence for development, manufacturing, and research regarding advanced composite structures. This would be yet another innovative WB Group's enterprise in the Silesian region. Its potential will allow us to boost our UAV manufacturing capabilities even more, said Piotr Wojciechowski – President of the Management Board at the WB Group.
The enterprise based in Czechowice-Dziedzice is one of the most innovative European facilities that manufacture composite structures using autoclave technologies. The company has an expansive research lab and a large clean room at its disposal. It manufactures readymade elements or components complying with strict specifications. The quality is very high, up to a "space-grade" level.
The enterprise also manufactures structural, aluminum-coated, and carbon fiber-coated bulkhead panels, used to create structural components of satellites and spacecraft. The Silesian company remains in possession of the expertise needed to create instrumentation and advanced, robotized manufacturing lines. It has also developed original, proprietary smart composite structures.
