Gen. Frederick Ben Hodges states that the border between Russia and Ukraine is a place where about 10 regular battalions of the Russian Army are currently stationed. 

Gathering such quantity of assets in a single region not a coincidence. Separatists’ successes in the Debaltseve region may mean that the Russians may try to conquer Mariupol – as it has been stressed by Hodges.

Now, in the area of that key communication node, we can witness a Russian military intervention, which is proven by the fact that the armament and the ammunition used within the scope of that very operation is of Russian origin. This has been the conclusion made by Hodges during his visit at the NATO base located in Stettin.
