More Abrams tanks have arrived to Poland

Another delivery of Abrams tanks to Poland. This time, a batch of 43 new vehicles (36 tanks and 7 recovery vehicles) has arrived in the country.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced the latest delivery of military equipment consisting of 36 M1A2SEPv3 (System Enhancement Package version 3) main battle tanks and 7 M88A2 HERCULES (Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lifting Extraction System) recovery vehicles.

This means that 182 out of the 250 ordered M1A2SEPv3 main battle tanks and 33 out of the 49 ordered M88A2 recovery vehicles have already been delivered to Poland. According to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, the vehicles will be assigned to the 1. Brygada Pancerna (1st Armored Brigade) of the 18. Dywizja Zmechanizowana (18th Mechanized Division). In addition to the M1A2SEPv3 tanks, the Polish Armed Forces also operate 116 M1A1FEP (Firepower Enhancement Package) tanks.

To support the main battle tanks, 25 M1110 JAB (Joint Assault Bridge) units and 25 M1150 ABV (Assault Breacher Vehicle) engineering tanks were also ordered. All these vehicles will be assigned to the 18. Dywizja Zmechanizowana (18th Mechanized Division).
