During a meeting with journalists at the headquarters of Cenzin, Marcin Idzik, a board member of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ), announced plans to open a local branch office in Brussels.

At a press breakfast held on March 17 at Cenzin Sp. z o.o., discussions focused on PGZ’s export plans, particularly regarding the European market, which is becoming increasingly attractive due to the European Commission’s initiatives. Notably, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has proposed an €800 billion investment plan aimed at rearming the continent and reducing its dependence on defense imports from outside the EU.

To better leverage EU programs, such as ASAP (Act in Support of Ammunition Production) and EDIRPA, actively participate in shaping these initiatives, and secure European funding for Polish defense production, PGZ has decided to establish an office in Brussels. According to Marcin Idzik, the goal is both to engage in discussions on defense policy, such as the ReArm Europe program, and to proactively seek partners for various European initiatives.

The decision to open an office in Brussels aligns with PGZ’s export growth strategy, which aims to make international sales a key pillar of its business. At the Cenzin meeting, Idzik emphasized: „Our products have proven effective in Ukraine. The Krab self-propelled howitzers, Piorun air defence systems, Rosomak armored personnel carriers, and firearms from Fabryka Broni in Radom are all in use there. This gives us an opportunity for greater sales.”

It is important to note that increasing exports requires not only market presence but also adequate production capacity, an area that currently represents a major challenge for PGZ Group companies.
