Anastasiya Kostyugova is a Belarusian strategic communications expert working on political conflict, polarization, and de-escalation. She has held roles across Belarusian democratic institutions and currently engages with diplomats and policymakers in the United States and Europe on pragmatic approaches to securing the release of political prisoners, rebuilding channels of engagement between Belarus, Western actors, and Belarusian civil society. She is a JST Fellow, a 2021 recipient of the Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award, and the daughter of a former political prisoner.
