“Last night, another shipment arrived in Gdańsk—this time with 12 Korean K9 self-propelled howitzers. More deliveries are ahead,” announced Deputy Minister of Defence, Paweł Bejda, on the X platform.

This weekend, we witnessed additional deliveries for the Polish Armed Forces. On Sunday, Minister Bejda made a statement on acquisition of more K9 self-propelled howitzers.

Shortly after, the Armament Agency posted on X, stating that in addition to the mentioned howitzers, five K2 tanks had also arrived in Poland.

Poland signed a framework agreement in July 2022 on the delivery of up to 672 K9A1/K9PL self-propelled howitzers. The first execution agreement, signed in August 2022, envisaged the procurement of 212 K9A1 systems, plus a training and logistics package and a major quantity of munitions. The first examples were delivered in December 2022, and 24 K9A1 systems were supplied then.
