On November 17–18, the international conference Defending Baltics 2025 will take place in Vilnius, bringing together high-level decision-makers, security experts, and defense industry representatives to discuss key lessons learned from the war in Ukraine, their implications for the defense of the Baltic region, and practical solutions to strengthen regional security.

Now in its second year, the event is becoming an important platform for addressing the strengthening of regional cooperation in defense. The Defending Baltics 2025 conference program spans a broad range of current topics - from the geopolitical situation in the Baltic region to advanced technological innovations. Experts will also discuss the use of drones and artificial intelligence in modern warfare, the role of maritime security and logistics in the Baltic states, as well as hybrid and sabotage threats facing Western countries.

„Defending the Baltics also means defending Europe. To prevent war and preserve peace, we must all work together – Baltic States, Ukraine, European Union, NATO. It is for the European Union to support strengthening its Eastern border through flagship projects – Eastern Flank Watch and European Drone Defence Initiative. It is for the Baltic States to use all the opportunities to build their defence capabilities. It is for all of us – to work with, to learn from and to help Ukraine to defend itself, to defend the Baltics and to defend Europe,” says European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius, who will open the conference.
