Natalia Matiaszczyk is a PhD candidate at the University of Lodz. Author of research papers on historical and territorial disputes, paradiplomacy, politics and security in Europe and East Asia. Her main areas of research interest include Central Europe, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan. Laureate of the National Science Center’s research grant in the PRELUDIUM 22 contest for the project “Multilevel politics of memory: the local dimension of South Korean politics of memory towards Japan.” She was awarded a distinction in the 34th Competition of the MFA of Poland for the best master’s thesis in the field of Polish foreign policy for the thesis titled “Relations between Poland and North Korea after 1989.”
