The first two sets of the mini-class unmanned reconnaissance system „Wizjer” have been handed over to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. This marks the start of fulfilling an order placed with the state defence industry.
On December 29, 2021, the Ministry of National Defence (MON), under the Wizjer programme, ordered 25 complete NeoX-2 „Duch” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. Each system consists of: a ground control station, a data terminal, a portable video terminal, and four flying-wing aircraft (100 aircraft in total). These UAVs carry optoelectronic reconnaissance payloads. The contract, worth 174 million PLN, also includes training and logistical support packages.
The procurement process was originally going to be finalized between 2024 and 2027. Thus, the programme is running slightly behind the initial schedule, though the delay is not unusually large compared to other UAV acquisition programmes.

The „Wizjer” was designed by a team of engineers at the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL), which licenses the system to WZL2 for production. The industrialisation of the system is managed by a consortium led by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and its aviation repair plants WZL1 and WZL2.
Intended for battalion-level use, the system is designed primarily for observation—including detection, reconnaissance, identification, and geolocation of targets—but can also support search-and-rescue missions. According to the 2023 specifications, it has an operational radius of 30 km and a maximum take-off weight of 13 kg.
On March 20, 2025, it was announced that „Wizjer” had successfully completed factory acceptance tests, clearing the way for deliveries to begin.
