Another artillery unit of the Polish Army is preparing to take the new Homar‑K rocket launchers into service.
Artillerymen from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, stationed in Bolesławiec, have just completed their training on the operation of the Homar‑K multiple‑rocket launchers. Over the course of several weeks, they trained both on simulators and in the field using actual launch vehicles.
The Homar‑K is a Polish‑adapted variant of the K239 Chunmoo launcher, originally developed in the Republic of Korea. It is equipped with the Polish ZZKO Topaz fire‑control system, and the launcher itself is mounted on the Polish Jelcz P882.57 TS T45 8×8 truck chassis. Poland has already received 144 of the 290 launchers ordered.
