Tank crews from the 20th Mechanized Brigade carried out their first training in deep‐wading water‐obstacle crossing on the new equipment.

The 20th Mechanized Brigade conducted exercises in crossing water obstacles by deep wading with the new main battle tanks, the K2 Black Panthers.

The tanks crossed the water obstacle using a foldable, telescopic snorkel mounted at the commander’s hatch. On each K2 vehicle, the snorkel is standard equipment, stored in a special rack at the rear of the turret.

K2 tanks can cross water obstacles by deep wading to a depth of 4.1 m. Preparation takes approximately 20–30 minutes, and once the obstacle has been crossed, the K2 can quickly re-engage in combat by discarding the snorkel.
