Changes Within an Important Polish Defence Company

The supervisory board of PSO „MASKPOL” S.A., a company belonging to PGZ Group, has announced changes in the company’s management board, including members and the president.

At the beginning of July, the supervisory board decided to adopt a resolution regarding qualification procedures for the position of president of the management board. Only individuals who had not served as associates of a member of parliament, senator, or member of the European Parliament could qualify for the competition. Additionally, candidates could not have belonged to or worked for a political party. Prior experience in the defence sector was also a desirable qualification for the company.

On 26th July of this year, Maskpol’s supervisory board decided on changes in the company’s management board. Two days later, Mateusz Kazimierczak, who had served as the member of the board responsible for economic and financial matters, was dismissed. On 31st July, Adam Ogrodnik will step down as president, a position he has held since 2019, having been active in the industry for over 20 years.

As a result of the conducted competition, new members of the company’s management board and its president were appointed:

  • Wojciech Mularczyk – President of the Management Board;
  • Tomasz Jackiewicz – Board Member for Manufacturing and Development;
  • Mariusz Marciński – Board Member.

Maskpol plays a key role in the so-called „Szpej” programme pursued by the MoD. The first phase of the project, which includes equipping the soldiers with new field uniforms and additional protective (insulating) clothing, is expected to be completed by the end of the year. In 2023, sales amounted to PLN 719 million, an increase of over 80% compared to the previous year. In 2024, a double-digit percentage increase in production and sales is planned compared to 2023.
