Record delivery of drones for Ukraine
The British Ministry of Defence has announced plans to deliver at least 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year. It will be the largest shipment of this type of weaponry since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The support will not be limited to small FPV drones. According to the Ministry of Defence statement, the new package will include long-range strike drones, intelligence and reconnaissance drones, logistical drones, and unmanned surface vessels. Deliveries of UAVs have already begun this month.
These systems play a crucial role in the Ukrainian military. They are used both for defending against Russian attacks and for conducting counteroffensives. To illustrate the scale of their usefulness, it is worth noting that in March 2026, Russia launched approximately 6,500 combat drones toward Ukraine.
“In the fifth year of Putin’s brutal war, the United Kingdom is taking further action and this year will deliver the largest number of drones to Ukraine in history. This massive injection of battle-proven drones will give Ukrainian forces the capability they need to defend their nation and resist Russian aggression,” declared Defence Secretary John Healey. According to the minister, in March of this year, drones were responsible for 96 percent of Russian losses.
On Wednesday, April 15, in Berlin, a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, known as the Ramstein Group, took place. During the discussions, John Healey confirmed the commitment to deliver the equipment to Ukraine. Also attending the meeting were German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
