The M1A2SEPv3 is the latest production variant of the U.S. main battle tank. On April 5, 2022, Poland ordered 250 of these vehicles. The contract, valued at USD 4.75 billion, covers not only the tanks themselves but also 26 M88A2 Hercules armoured recovery vehicles, 17 M1110 Joint Assault Bridges, and a comprehensive training and logistical support package.
The SEPv3 is an upgraded version featuring enhanced combat characteristics—improved armor, advanced fire-control systems, and greater crew survivability. Weighing over 60 tons, it will be the heaviest tank ever in service with the Polish Armed Forces.
